Specialist Josh Genberg celebrates after learning he won the quilt raffled off by Faribault Beyond the Yellow Ribbon during a drill weekend at the Faribault Armory the first weekend in March. The quilt was made by a local 4-H organization and donated to the BTYR group.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon volunteers Jaci Smith (left), Angela Storch (right), and Amy Wolf staffed a table at the drill attended by more than 300 soldiers to offer support and information about BTYR. Many soldiers stopped by to chat, share stories and ask about the BTYR.
“If we helped even one soldier today, it makes the time we spent here worth it,” said volunteer Angela Storch.
Faribault Beyond the Yellow Ribbon meets at noon on the third Tuesday of the month at the Faribault Armory.
